Somewhere between the Cleavers and Osbourns our society has lost the importance of God's plan for the family. Kim Cannedy is a born communicator who delivers her messages with wisdom and humor drawing on her experience of being a mother of seven (7) and foster mother to over forty (40) children.
In this day and age of fast food, fast fun, fast life, parenting one's children somehow seems to take a lower and lower priority in our lives. Through the "Parenting as a Priority" series, Kim and John Cannedy teach parents of children of all ages the parenting skills that have been lost or maybe just forgotten in the hurry of life.
Kim's desire is to equip parents with the tools they need to enhance their parenting skills, creating a stronger family unit. Kim has reached large numbers of parent through her training classes, public speaking and parenting consultation service along with radio, newspaper and television information spots.
Being appointed to (Colorado) Governor Owens Judicial Task Force in 2002, Kim helped to select Mesa County's Guardian Ad Litem to represent foster children's legal rights. She was on the Board of Directors for Strong Families/Safe Kids Prevention of Child Abuse in Mesa County (Colorado). She received the Colorado Woman 2003 POWER OF ONE Award from Congressman Scott McInnis recognizing her for her personal and community achievements.

Kim and her husband John are natives of Colorado and have been married almost 30 years. They reside in Grand Junction where they are currently home schooling four of their seven children.
